haoyu preferred not to travel out of lilycove, but the recent volcanic activity changed his mind. who could pass up the opportunity to study soot levels and its impact on the environment while also helping wildlife and the tainted natural waters? a win for civilians and a case study for haoyu.[break][break]

the ground was grey with soot, which hung heavy on the leaves of trees and danced with dim spirals in the pond. haoyu scooped up a collection of soot from the ground beneath him into a vial for later examination. meanwhile, cramorant launched hydro pump at the surface of the pond to start clearing soot. "See isn't this fun just isn't it." Ghost would say to Kodak his Pichu. Who by the way was not having a good time. But you see Ghost was very protective of her seeing as she is a newly hatched pokemon.

But Kodak The Pichu only wanted action as she heard so much from Ghost. Her mischief ways are what made her well her. But so far she had been mad at her trainer as he has not been taking her on any cool missions. As he looked on he would be cleaning the hoot off the ground. His area was nearly clean as he was a neat freak. But still he could not help that it was so much soot around. Kodak on the other hand would drop her bloom mop or whatever you call it and then go about her busy day.
Unbeknownst to the other group Pichu was there to play a prank on them.

Inside the Soot she would hide and ready her self to jump out and scare them.

haoyu collected one more vial of soot. meanwhile, cramorant stumbled into a pile of freshly-disturbed soot, squawking in surprise at the sight of a mouse pokemon.[break][break]

cramorant feared the worst and launched a softer, surprised water gun at the creature instead of continuing its prior blast of hydro pump. haoyu whipped around at cramorant's noise and released thwackey. "protect cram," he instructed as he secured the vial to his waist. thwackey stood between cramorant and the pikachu.[break][break]

Kodak The Pichu was a mischievous pokemon if she was anything. But she was not yet a great fighter of her own. As she was too slow to process what was going on. She would be covered in Soot.

Ghost would then notice that Kodak was bring ing awfully quiet and when he looked she was. No where to be find. As he started to look for her he would call out yo her. "Kodak...Kodak...come out and stop playing ya understand." As the Pichu heard her trainer call for her. She would start to cry out for his help. It seems the larger pokemon scared her. This would call for Ghost to Come over to the noise. "What in the world is going on here? Kodak is this where you ran off too geez your a mess." As he looked on he would see the other group and would be confused at what was going on as he would say, "hello there."

finally, he spoke. "you're the trainer for this little troublemaker. i see." the epiphany moment softened his panicked expression. "i know all about that. my thwackey can get into trouble," he said, though the grass type looked at him and huffed in disagreement. she was too high-energy. cramorant was also trouble, but mostly due to inaction or aloofness. "i take it you're here to assist with the ash clean-up?"[break][break]

As he walked towards Kodak who was running towards him. He would have a smile on his face. Just then he would takena towel and start to wipe her off. But still some soot remained. As Ghost would then say to the other trainer. "Yeah she is a prankster by heart. I don't know where she gets that from but I think it's cute. Currently I am teaching her how to be a ranger and it's more then just battling."

As he picked her up she would crawl on ho shoulders. Just then Pichu looked at the Cramorant and then stuck out her touge. "Now now Kodak you know better. But yeah we are here to clean up this mess. I should have brought a fire type if anything." Ghost would say as he started laughing. "But my area is nearly clean if I do say so myself."

he laughed. he was also subject to strong pokemon personalities. none of his pokemon were calm spirited besides his silicobra and absol, and even the latter could be intense.[break][break]

"well, your assistance is great for the environment." there was more soot over here to be cleaned, so he let cramorant get back to work launching water gun at it to dilute the piles. "i'm an environmentalist. i totally agree about rangers being more than battles. i think the conservation efforts from the rangers on hoenn is very commendable. is that your favorite aspect of being a ranger?" he was an officer because of his fire deputy chief work, but his job overlapped multiple times with that of rangers.[break][break]
